Until not many years, women over age 40 were much larger than the "forties" now we see today. This no doubt had much to do with prejudices that clothing was "permitted" or not get past a certain age.
When you spend 40 years, your body looks more like you did in your twenties or thirties, but that does not make it look worse ... in fact there are many more attractive women are in their forties than never before seen!
But while you might be thinner and in better shape thanks to diet, yoga and sessions in the gym who have been part of your daily routine the last ten years, you must use your common sense when buying new clothes . After all, is not the same "three musketeers that twenty years later."
Keep your own style
One advantage of being "fortysomething" is that by now you know well what is and what is not, and probably have a well defined style.
If your style tends to be rather informal, when you turn 40 is not the time to change, but maybe if to adapt a little. "Casual" is not synonymous with "fachoso" and the last thing you want to be a "middle-aged woman Pandrosos or slovenly." So, take away those old jeans and pants torn you inherited from your husband and get yourself a pair of jeans that fit well with your figure and bring out your best qualities.
But please, forget about those jeans jeans super glued (so-called "skinny jeans"), even if you have a perfect ass that kind of pants only look good is your teenage daughter!
